Witness appeal after 16-year-old girl indecently assaulted in woods in Thetford

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old girl was indecently assaulted in Thetford.

The victim was walking through woods, between St Johns Way and Brandon Road at about 6.45pm on Tuesday September 10, when she was approached by three men, a spokesman for Norfolk Police said.

One of the men knocked her phone out of her hand and stamped on it before indecently assaulting her.

The victim then picked up her phone and ran off.

The spokesman described the man who allegedly assaulted the victim as white, wearing a black hooded jacket, black jogging bottoms, black gloves and black trainers.

The men were believed to have been speaking an eastern European language.
