West Suffolk Hospital patient with coronavirus dies




A West Suffolk Hospital patient with coronavirus has died.

The patient, in their 60s, had underlying health conditions.

Dr Stephen Dunn, chief executive of West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, said: "Our thoughts and condolences remain with their family and loved ones at this difficult time."

It takes the total number of Covid-19 related deaths at the Bury St Edmunds hospital to 77.

As of 9am yesterday (June 7), there have been 1,539 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Suffolk with 232 in West Suffolk, 182 in Mid Suffolk, 152 in Babergh, 352 in Ipswich and 621 in East Suffolk.
