West Suffolk Hospital offers open morning for nurses

West Suffolk Hospital is staging an open morning to showcase opportunities for nursing at the hospital.

The event on May 16 is open to newly qualified and registered nurses interested in vacancies across areas such as stroke, respiratory, cardiac, medical, surgical and orthopaedics and trauma.

Running in the committee room between 10am and 12pm the event will showcase iniatives such as return to practice courses which help nurses returning to work to regain their registration, as well as training and development opportunities which are available at the hospital.

It will also give people who aspire to a nursing career to decide if this is right for them as well as offering the chance to talk to other students. There is also support for anyone wanting to apply to university to train as a nurse.

Claire Scott, hospital HR manager, said: “We would encourage nurses who want a new challenge or are thinking of relocating, former nurses thinking of returning to the wards and aspiring nurses who are still planning their careers to book a place and find out more.”

Anyone interested should call the HR recruitment team on 01284 713526 to book their place.
