West Suffolk Hospital discharges 125 coronavirus patients since start of outbreak

West Suffolk Hospital has discharged 125 coronavirus patients since the outbreak began.

As of noon on Monday, June 8, West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust admitted 242 patients for treatment who tested positive for Covid-19.

Seventy seven patients with coronavirus have died at the trust.


As of 9am on Monday, there were 1,541 cases in Suffolk with 234 in West Suffolk, 182 in Mid Suffolk, 152 in Babergh, 351 in Ipswich and 622 in East Suffolk.

According to Office for National Statistics data on coronavirus deaths by local authority and location for the week ending May 29 and registered up to June 6, there was one in West Suffolk at hospital.

In Mid Suffolk, there were three in hospital and two in care homes.

Babergh had one death in hospital and Breckland registered five in hospital and one in a hospice.
