Design students at West Suffolk College are celebrating after being picked for two prestigious projects.

A group of Level 3 Graphic Design students are working to create a marketing campaign for new children’s film Ice Age 5: Collision Course, working with education organisation The Ideas Foundation and 20th Century Fox.

Course tutor Chris Thompson said it was ‘a brilliant opportunity’ to work on ‘an exciting real life project’.

Meanwhile, three fashion design students have made it to the finals of a national design competition run by the Clothes Show.

Elle Royal, Hannah Hilson, and Pheobe Allison are all finalists in a competition to design a clutch bag to launch a new luxury handbag range.

Another West Suffolk College student, Jasmine Creswick, has been shortlisted for the competition’s Young Fashion Photographer of the Year award.
