Children across West Suffolk who took part in a summer reading challenge have been commended for their efforts.

The national Library Summer Reading Challenge asks young participants complete six different books in the six-week summer holiday.

Those who successfully completed the task were awarded medals and certificates at presentations throughout September.

Events took place at libraries including Bury St Edmunds, Elmswell, Thurston, Lavenham, Brandon, Thetford, Mildenhall, Stowmarket and Needham Market, with many happy children receiving their hard-earned rewards.
