West Suffolk campaigners to take part in National Day of Action

Supporters of a People’s Vote on Brexit will be out on the streets of Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, Stowmarket and villages on Saturday.

They will be in Bury St Edmunds town centre, on Cornhill, from 9.45am, and will be leafleting door-to-door and chatting to voters across the area to encourage voters to back parties which want a People’s Vote, in the European Parliamentary elections, on May 23.

As well as campaigning in West Suffolk, events are taking place all over the country, with thousands of activists and supporters involved.

Julia Young, for the People’s Vote Campaign in Newmarket, said: "The People’s Vote Campaign is not a political party and it would be wrong for us to tell people which specific party to vote for.

"But we are supportive of those parties which have a manifesto commitment in these elections to the public having a final say on Brexit."
