West Row man Mark Gambie charged in connection with Wicken stabbing




A West Row man has been charged in connection with a stabbing on Friday.

Mark Gambie, 56, of Victoria Close, was charged with conspiring to cause damage to property to endanger life after a man aged in his 20s reported that he had been stabbed outside his home in Wicken at around 12.30am.

The victim was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.

Mr Gambie has been released on bail and is due to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on January 11.

Christopher Wing, 59, from Newmarket, was also charged with conspiring to cause damage to property to endanger life and wounding with intent.

He was remanded into custody and is also due to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on the same day.
