Weeting road to shut for repair works

Overnight road closures will be in place on the A1065 at Weeting next week while resurfacing work takes place.

The repairs will cover the stretch from the Brandon railway crossing to a point north of the industrial estate.

The work, which officials estimate will cost more than £100,000, is expected to take a week to complete.

The road will be closed from 7pm to 7am each night, with a signed diversion route via the A1065 towards Mundford, the A134, A11 and B1106.

Norfolk County Council engineers say: “Access to businesses and properties within the limits of the works will be maintained from one end of the closure at any time but it is inevitable that there will be some disruption.”

They have apologised for any inconvenience caused by the project.
