A drop-in event is taking place on Saturday which aims to guide people through the West Suffolk Operational Hub planning application submitted two weeks ago.

Members of the public have until April 11 to comment on the application which consists of 100 documents and proposes combining a waste transfer station, household waste recycling centre, offices and depots on a site at Hollow Road Farm, Fornham St Martin.

Adrian Graves, spokesman for the Villages Community Forum (VCF), said: “This will provide an opportunity for residents of the communities directly affected by the proposal to look at large scale plans and drawings of the site and understand its design and contents.

“We will also have available detailed information about the traffic and infrastructure issues associated with the development and these remain central to the common concerns related to the combined hub which have been foremost in the process throughout, from the very beginning.”

The event will take place at the village hall in Fornham St Martin from 10am-2pm.
