Matthew Rowe is hoping to wake up people’s ideas about organic food by offering free breakfasts on his market stall tomorrow.

Matthew’s Happy Food Coop on Bury St Edmunds Market is taking part in the nationwide Wake up to Organics campaign run by the Organic Trade Board, which points out breakfast is an easy and affordable way to give organics a try.

Matthews, whose stall is outside HSBC, said: “As a new local business it is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a nationwide campaign to promote the benefits of organic food.

“I always start the day with an organic breakfast and want to share my passion for healthy and delicious food with as many people as possible.”

So he will be offering a free organic breakfast from 9am with the chance to sample organic products and giving away free organic ‘goodie bags’.

The Happy Food Coop specialises in locally produced organic products as well as offering ‘healthy organic wholefoods’. Matthew also runs the online Bury Food Coop at https://openfoodnetwork.org.uk/bury-st-edmunds-food-coop/shop

The Organic Trade Board says sales of organic products in the UK were up 7.1 per cent last year.
