Wailing guitars and rock rhythms as County Upper School perform We Will Rock You

County Upper School in Bury St Edmunds, shook to its foundations as students came together to belt out a feel-good rendition of the hit Queen musical We Will Rock You.

The band’s greatest hits were performed by student musicians who – aged between 14 and 17 – delivered the thrilling, pulsating rhythms and wailing guitars that were a trademark of Brian May and the rest of the band at their very best.

Meanwhile both singers and dancers contributed to visual fireworks that perfectly lived up to the music, and carried the show along at pace.

Vicky Neale, headteacher, said: “This production showcased everything we celebrate as a school and a wider trust. It saw students of all ages and abilities produce three stunningly successful and joyous evenings for everyone who attended. Once again, we saw everybody working together, and everybody sharing the rewards.”
