Volunteers give charity more colour

VOLUNTEERS have transformed the reception and garden area at St Nicholas Hospice Care, in Bury St Edmunds, and brought colour to the lives of its patients.

As part of AkzoNobel’s Community Programme, which was launched in 2005, the paints company gave the reception a lift with light colours and created a purple feature wall, the hospice’s signature colour.

Meanwhile, the garden was decorated with new furniture and turned into an attractive communal outdoor space.

Adrian Carter, project leader, said: “It is great to be able to take part in something that makes a genuine contribution to the lives of the people around us.”
