Just over 100 employee pensioners of W Vinten Ltd (Broadcast and Military) divisions gathered at the home of William Vinten, son of the company founder, for a reunion tea.
It was the first opportunity for some to meet up with former work colleagues whom they had not seen since they retired from the company.
It was also 50 years ago that the company moved from Cricklewood in London to Western Way, Bury St Edmunds. Many of those attending the reunion moved with the company in 1964.
There were items that the company manufactured on display and these proved to be a good talking point.
Photographs from the event and archive were sold and the proceeds donated to St Nicholas Hospice Care.
