VIDEO: New St Edmundsbury Mayor is sworn in

A new St Edmundsbury Borough Council mayor was sworn in this afternoon, while it was also announced that the man vacating the position had raised £20,000 for charity during his tenure.

Outgoing councillor Patrick Chung split that sum evenly between four different organisations - the East Anglian Children’s Hospices, West Suffolk Hospital’s Rainbow Ward, Bury Women’s Refuge and the St Edmund’s branch of Samaritans.
