Updated: Three hurt in multi-car collision

A woman had to be cut out of a car and two others were hurt in a collision involving three cars and a caravan in Barrow this afternoon.

East of England Ambulance Service called Suffolk Fire Service to the collision in Bury Road near Dale Tree Road at 1.48pm.

Fire crews from Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket used hydraulic cutting gear to remove the roof of one of the cars to free the woman.

Suffolk Police said there were no life threatening injuries but the woma n was taken to hospital as a precaution.

The road was closed from about 2pm to 4pm.
