UPDATED: Collision between car and cyclist causing long delays in Bury

A cyclist and car have collided shutting a main road in Bury St Edmunds this morning, Thursday June 9.

It happened shortly before 9am and involved a Ford Fiesta and a cyclist.

A police spokeswoman said a man was being treated by paramedics but did not appear to have life-changing or life-threatening injuries.

The road is closed on approach at the junction of Fornham Road and Station Hill.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
