Police have arrested a 59-year old man after a lorry crossed the central reservation of the A14 this morning.
The eastbound carriageway between junctions J47A Woolpit and J49 Stowmarket was closed for several hours following the accident.
Suffolk Police say man has been arrested in connection with ‘a dangerous driving incident in Haughley’.
They were called at about 5.20am this morning to reports that a lorry travelling on the westbound A14 had collided with the central reservation and crossed into the opposite carriageway.
One lane remains closed on either side of the carriageway as barrier repairs are carried out.
Police are appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the collision, has dash cam footage of the incident, or may have seen the manner of driving of the lorry.

PHighways England says it is not expecting a return to normal traffic flows until about 5.30pm.
