UPDATED: A14 lanes reopen after lorry jackknifes on the A14


A lorry jackknifed on the A14 near Newmarket following a collision with a tractor this morning causing major tailbacks both ways.

The incident, which was reported to police at about 6.30am, saw the vehicle block most of the eastbound carriageway at junction 37 with the A142.

It went through the central reservation and caused problems on the westbound carriageway.

Road closures were put in place on lanes two and three of the eastbound carriageway and lane three of the westbound.

They were reopened just before 9am.
