UPDATE: Stretch of A11 reopens after car overturned near Elveden

A man has escaped serious injuries after his car overturned on the A11 near Elveden this morning.

Police and ambulance crews were called just before 6.30am to reports that a car had rolled over near the Elveden war memorial. Fire crews were also in attendance.

The driver, a man in his 30s, was extricated from the vehicle and treated at the scene for a suspected back injury. He was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for further treatment, but his injuries are not thought to be serious.

The northbound carriageway between the A1101 at Barton Mills and the B1106 at Elveden has now reopened.
