UPDATE: Serious collision involving a car and lorry near Fornham St Martin


Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the A134 at Fornham St Martin this morning.

Officers were contacted just after 9.30am to reports of a collision between a BMW and a lorry just north of the A143 junction.

A 50-year-old man, who was driving the black BMW, sustained serious head and crush injuries and was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital by road ambulance.

He is in a critical condition.

The northbound carriageway of the A134 re-opened to traffic around 2.30pm.

Police are asking anyone who saw the BMW prior to the collision or the crash itself to call the Serious Collision Investigation Team at Suffolk Police on 101, quoting CAD 94.
