UPDATE: Second crash within five miles of queuing traffic after two car crash on A14 at Thurston

A two vehicle crash is causing five miles of queues on the A14 near Thurston this morning, Tuesday July 19.

The crash, involving a car and a van, has taken place on the westbound carriageway at junction 46 and has closed the fast lane after contact with the central reservation.

Police are on the scene but officers are reporting significant delays to commuters as far back as Woolpit.

And a second collision has now taken place in the queuing traffic near junction 47.

Motorists are advised to slow down as they approach the area or to find alternative routes if possible.
