Power has been restored to hundreds of homes in Lakenheath after a lorry brought down power lines.

The lorry, which had a crane on the back, struck power lines in High Street at around 11.10am this morning, bringing down wires and a pylon.

A UK Power Networks spokeswoman said that 543 properties were affected, but confirmed power supplies had been restored to all by 1.44pm.
