Two men were arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm after a man suffered a cut lip in an incident at a Bury St Edmunds pub on Friday night.
Police were called at about 6pm to Tollgate Inn, in Fornham Road, to the incident involving a group of men.
A police spokesman said that a man, aged in his early 30s, was taken to West Suffolk Hospital with a 15mm cut to his lip ‘believed to have been caused by a bladed implement’.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm and have been bailed to return to Bury Police Investigation Centre on June 13.
