UPDATE: Appeal after pedestrian dies in collision with van in Thetford

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic accident in Thetford yesterday (February 26).

Officers were called to reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a Mercedes van in Brandon Road at around 11.40am.

Sadly the pedestrian, a 78-year-old man from Essex, died at the scene. The driver of the van was not injured and the road was closed for four hours while emergency services deal with the incident.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident should contact Norfolk Constabulary’s Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101.
