Two women cut free from car after collision in Barton Mills

Two women were taken to hospital following a road traffic collision on the Fiveways roundabout in Barton Mills in the early hours of this morning.

The pair were trapped inside a car which had left the road at about 3.06am and were rescued by Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service who used hydraulic cutting gear to remove the roof of the vehicle.

They released the casualties by 4.36am who were then transported to hospital by the ambulance service.

Two appliances from Brandon and Mildenhall along with two rescue pumps from Bury St Edmunds and Thetford attended the incident.
