Two-vehicle crash near Cockfield causes long delays

Motorists experienced long delays near Cockfield this morning after a two-vehicle crash.

Police were called to reports of a collision between a Honda CBF motorcycle and a Mazda Tamura at around 8am.

It happened on the A1141 at the junction of the A134 and caused considerable tailbacks for more than an hour.

A police spokesman said no-one was seriously hurt but the motorcyclist sustained a minor back injury.

An ambulance crew treated him at the scene and took him to West Suffolk Hospital for further care.

The vehicles involved have been left on a verge at the side of the road awaiting recovery.
