Two men charged after members of the public see them stealing copper cables and block their car in Stanton




Two men have been charged with stealing copper cable after members of the public blocked their car and stopped them from getting away.

Police were called at around 8am yesterday, January 12 to reports of a burglary at Shepherds Grove industrial estate near Stanton.

Juris Vrublevskis, of Reepham in Peterborough, and Arturas Bucinskas, 29, of Southlands Avenue, Peterborough, were arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Both were subsequently charged with burglary stealing copper cable in the region of £2,500.

They were due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates' Court this afternoon (January 13).
