Two men assaulted during Thetford robbery

Police are appealing for information after two men were assaulted and a sum of cash taken during a robbery in Thetford.

The incident happened at around 7pm on Thursday, February 12 in Old Market Street, when three men in dark clothing forced their way into a property. Two other men who were in the property at the time were assaulted.

The victims managed to escape and raise the alarm. One of the men then returned to the property and became involved in a fight with one of the suspects, before all three suspects made off.

A small quantity of cash was taken during the incident.

Anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in Old Market Street around the time of the incident or anyone with information about the robbery should contact Det Con Lee Hall at Thetford CID on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
