Two men arrested for trapping and killing owl

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of trapping and killing an owl in Fakenham Magna.

Police were called to an area of woodland in the village on Thursday December 4.

Two men from the Thetford area, aged 35 and 36, were arrested on suspicion of committing a wildlife offence and also perverting the course of justice.

They were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where they are bailed to return on Tuesday January 6 pending further enquiries.
