Two killed in Alpheton crash named by police

Two people who died following a crash in Alpheton last month have been named by police.

Regina 'Gina' Brook, 79, and Bruno Delmonte, 69, were travelling in a gold BMW 325i on the A134 between Alpheton and Lawshall on August 31 when they collided with a blue Mini Cooper at around 11.30am.

The Mini was travelling northbound in the direction of Bury St Edmunds while the BMW was travelling in the opposite direction.

Ms Brook, from Bures Hamlet, who was the front seat passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr Delmonte, from Great Henny, who was driving, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital where he later died.

The driver of the mini - a woman in her 30s - remains in a serious condition in hospital having sustained potentially life-changing injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dash cam footage prior to 11.30am on the day is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Team at Stowmarket on 101 quoting reference CAD 131 of August 31.
