FIRE crews in West Suffolk had a busy afternoon yesterday, attending two car crashes within the space of an hour.
At around 2.35pm, two crews from Bury St Edmunds and a rescue pump from Stowmarket were called to The Avenue, in Great Barton.
They found one person trapped and used hydrualic cutting gear to release them.
At about 3.25pm, a rescue vehicle from Bury, a rescue pump from Newmarket and a pump from Mildenhall were called to an incident on the A14 westbound, between Kentford and Newmarket, where they were needed to release a person from a vehicle.
