Two accidents slow rush hour traffic on A14 near Bury St Edmunds

Rush hour traffic was slowed around Bury St Edmunds this morning following two road traffic collisions on the A14.

The first incident happened on the westbound carriageway near Sainsbury’s. Police were called to the scene at 8.10am, where a white Mini Copper and a black Mercedes had collided, causing traffic to build up.

There were no injuries sustained and the road was cleared by 8.40am.

The second incident, a three-way collision, also happened on the westbound carriageway at the Bury St Edmunds central roundabout near Tesco.

Police were called to the collision between a silver Mazda, a white Audi A3 and a grey Seat Leon at 8.15am. There were no injuries sustained and the road was cleared just before 9am.
