Road and traffic news.

Motorists are being asked to avoid two roads in the Lakenheath area while emergency services clear up two collisions that happened in an hour.

The first was at about 4.10pm on Eriswell Road between Mildenhall and Lakenheath, which resulted in the road being closed, but Suffolk Police say nobody was seriously injured.

The vehicles involved have been recovered, but the Highways Department still has to clear fluids and debris from the road.

Then at about 5.10pm police were called to a multiple vehicle accident on the A1065 Brandon to Mildenhall road at Lakenheath.

Officers are still at the scene assessing it, so no further details are available.

Witnesses say vehicles were at least partially blocking the road.
