Bardwell Primary School pupils welcomed back with Here Comes The Sun video recorded by key worker children

Youngsters have been welcomed back to Bardwell Primary School with an uplifting video recorded by key worker pupils.

Teacher Claire Dunnell Paley and the children wrote their own words to Here Comes The Sun before sharing their film on Google Classroom with pupils still learning at home.

Rob Francksen, executive headteacher, said: “The past three months have, of course, been extremely testing for everyone. However, I am immensely proud that the pupils, staff, parents/carers and members of the community have shown such incredible resilience, togetherness, and innovation.

"This video is just one example of the creativity shown by our pupils. We have certainly been changed by what has happened but we refuse to be reduced by it.”

The school has been welcoming children in a phased return since June 1, with an estimated 80 per cent of pupils now back in the classroom, at least on a part-time basis.
