Eastern Multi Academy Trust provides new library for academy

A Thetford infant school has recently opened a brand new library.

The buildings were provided for Raleigh Infant Academy, in Admirals Way, by the Eastern Multi Academy Trust (EMAT) of which the academy is a part.

Children from the academy opened the new library with Patrick Miles, Key Stage One leader, Paul Shanks, director of primary education, and Rosy Lord, director of HR, marketing and estates from EMAT.

Julie-Anne Purvis, head of school, said: “Raleigh loves reading and has recently opened a new library. The library and our ‘reading challenge’ has really promoted a love for reading a range of texts. The academy is hoping to open an ‘outdoor reading hub’ next and would be grateful for any book donations.”
