A DEVELOPMENT trust is offering community organisations the chance to boost their coffers, with £5,000 of cash on the table.
Keystone Development Trust, based in Thetford, is offering grants of up to £500 to community and voluntary groups in its catchment area, including Thetford, Brandon and Mildenhall.
The grants will be available to groups working with children and young people up to the age of 18. The money can be used to fund social and leisure opportunities as well as projects addressing key issues.
Neil Stott, chief executive of the trust, said: “The small grants programme enables us to invest in local organisations in the Keystone area, to deliver activities and services that really improve people’s quality of life.”
In 2010, 16 projects benefited from the grants. These included training for St John Ambulance staff in Thetford and for members of the town’s Garden and Allotment Club.
Community grant application packs are available to download from www.keystonetrust.org.uk or by calling 01842 766018. The deadline for applications is July 29.
