A THREE-car collision caused gridlock in Bury St Edmunds during one of the busiest shopping days of the year.
The crash, involving a blue Vauxhall Vectra, a silver Renault Clio and a silver VW Passatt occurred at 2pm on Tuesday.
A police spokesman said no-one had been seriously injured in the collision although one person was treated for shock and another had been winded.
Three ambulances attended the incident approaching Risbygate roundabout.
The northbound carriage was blocked off by police for more than an hour as the road was cleared.
The busy Christmas shopping traffic was redirected away from the scene towards Cullum Road.
