A 10-year-old boy died in hospital last night, six days after he was involved in a collision in Stowmarket.

William Warren, of Pintail Road, in Stowmarket, was rushed to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, with serious head injuries following an accident in Navigation Approach, on Thursday. He was left fighting for his life after he was in collision with a blue VW Golf. But last night the Stowmarket Middle School pupil died in hospital.

Suffolk Police confirmed that the coroner has been informed and an inquest will be opened in due course.
