Bury St Edmunds trains to Ely and Peterborough suspended all day
Bury St Edmunds passengers have been warned to expect further cancellations on the Ipswich to Peterborough line.
All trains serving the route, which also serves Ely, March, Manea and Whittlesea, have been cancelled today (Monday, December 30).
Greater Anglia has organised rail replacement bus services to run for the rest of the day - on the following timetable.
Passengers have found several services to Peterborough cancelled over the past few weeks as Greater Anglia upgrades its train fleet.
The company has apologised to affected passengers and released the following statement:
"We are currently in the process of replacing every train in our fleet with brand new trains.
"As part of this process, we need to test new trains and train all of our drivers to be able to drive them.
"This programme was set back due to recent signalling problems on our regional routes.
"We have now resumed our driver training and new train testing programme and we aim to reinstate the full service as quickly as possible."
