Train services on major line suspended due to fault

Train services between Peterborough and Ipswich have been suspended until the end of the day due to a train fault.

Passengers from Ipswich to Peterborough and from Peterborough to Ipswich are advised to travel via Cambridge.

Greater Anglia tickets will be accepted on Cross Country services and East Midlands Railway between Cambridge, Ely and Peterborough in both directions.

Greater Anglia said: "Please allow extra time for your journey.

"We are sorry if your journey has been affected by this disruption.

"Advance purchase tickets holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains if their booked service is cancelled."
