PEDAL power will be taking history buffs back in time on a special cycle ride this week.

Bicycle charity Sustrans and the Ancient House Museum have teamed up to organise a historical cycle tour of Thetford town centre.

Georgie Burr, Thetford’s Bike It Officer, said the tour would help to reveal Thetford’s past.

“We thought it would be great to combine Thetford’s rich history with the experience of cycling.

“I’m hoping the ride will appeal to people who don’t normally cycle, and from the ride they may discover that cycling is a wonderful way to see places,” she said.

Cyclists will hear ghost stories, see pictures from the past on the 2-mile ride.

The ride starts at the Ancient House Museum and runs from 2-4pm.

Tickets are 50p for children and £1 for adults. Contact the Ancient House Museum on 01842 752599. Spaces are limited.
