THETFORD is gearing itself up for another two weeks of fantastic entertainment starting next Friday.
This is the third Thetford Festival and will feature arts, music and drama as well as the popular Thetford World Cup and Charity Day. The two week festival also includes the Heritage Open Days and Anglo-Sikh Heritage Day with a multicultural finale with Bhangra and a traditional Sikh sword dance.
This year students from Thetford Academy will be displaying their talented artwork and sculpture, including work by sixth former Sophie Townsend who has had her stunning work displayed in the Mall Galleries in London as part of the National Students Art Exhibition.
The Thetford Players perform open air productions at Kings House Gardens and Riversdale Gardens on August 24, 25 and 26 while on Tuesday, September 4, there is a family drop in event at the Dad’s Army Museum.
Meanwhile, Gary Winter sings popular Sinatra and Buble at the Carnegie Room on Saturday September 1.
The festival runs from August 24 to September 9.
