A VILLAGE pre-school has been praised as outstanding in all areas by inspectors from Ofsted.
Lawshall Pre-School, based in the grounds of All Saints’ primary, caters for 30 children and employs five staff.
Ofsted inspector Sue Rogers visited the pre-school in December.
“The committed staff team work extremely well together to ensure that children’s individual needs are met very well and that they all achieve exceptional outcomes,” she said.
The ireport added: “Staff have an excellent knowledge of their needs and interests. Children positively thrive in this setting as a result of the child-centred ethos and personalised provision that places the individual child firmly at the centre of the adult’s attention.”
Pre-school manager Kirstie Parish welcomed the report. “We are very proud and pleased, particularly to be recognised about how well we know each of the individual children so we can work with them on their strengths and interests,” she said.
The pre-school, which was set up by Kirstie’s mum, Ann Bates, is now celebrating its 40th year.
