CHILDREN and chefs have taken over the kitchen to cook up a fund-raising recipe book.
Leading chef Chris Lee, from the Bildeston Crown, joined 10 other chefs and a team of children to put together the Cooks and Kids recipe book, which was launched at a Hackney primary school on Monday.
The recipe and nutrition book, compiled in association with the National Fostering Agency, features snacks and meals dreamt up by children and created by top chefs.
Royalties from the book will support Magic Breakfast, a charity which aims to ensure that more than 6,000 school children across the UK get healthy breakfasts.
Chris, head chef at the award-winning Bildeston gastro pub, worked with Katie Kennedy to develop her samosa recipe.
Chris said: “It was wonderful to be involved with such a great initiative for cooking with the children and serving up a magic breakfast.”
