The Bury St Edmunds Academy Trust has become one of only eight organisations in the country to have been awarded a top accolade.

Vicky Neale, head at County Upper School, which is part of the trust, was presented with the World Class Schools Quality Mark.

The award is given to schools which have ‘moved beyond’ their ‘outstanding’ Ofsted judgement.

Mrs Neale said: “As part of a stringent assessment process, World Class Schools’ assessors spent a lot of time with our students and found them to be inspirational.”
