Tickets for singer Sam Smith’s concert in Thetford Forest this summer went on sale this morning - and sold out in under an hour.
After going on sale at 9am this morning (Friday) tickets for the July 3 concert, part of the Forest Live tour, sold out in around 50 minutes.
The high demand caused the Forestry Commision box office website to grind to a halt, with hundreds of hopefuls stuck in an online queue.
Fans took to Twitter to express their happiness at snapping up tickets for the Brit Award winner’s show, or consternation at missing out.
The songwriter announced on the social media site this morning that more tickets had been made available.
Three of the Forest Live tour’s four acts at Thetford Forest have now sold out, but tickets are still available for Tom Odell’s performance, supported by Rae Morris, on July 5.
