Three-vehicle collision near Risby causes A14 delays

A three-vehicle collision caused long rush hour tailbacks on the A14 this morning in the Bury St edmunds area.

The collision between a Nissan Navara pickup, Kia Sportage and a Mazda at about 8.20am on the westbound carriageway between Risby and Barrow.

Suffolk Police say nobody was seriously hurt, but a recovery vehicle was needed for the Navara and traffic quees quickly built up, stretching back to Bury by the time the carriageway was cleared of debris at 9.05am.

Drivers were experiencing delays of up to 40 minutes while the carriageway was cleared.
