Three teenagers arrested in connection with fires in Stowmarket

Three teenage boys from Stowmarket have been arrested following a number of fires in the town.

Overnight between 10pm on Friday, September 25 and 5am on Saturday, September 26, a number of trees and hedges were set alight in Curwen Road, Walnut Tree Walk, Lowry Way, Constable Way, Violet Hill Road, Finborough Road and Recreation Road.

A 14-year-old and two 15-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of arson.

They were taken to Bury Police Investigation Centre and have since been bailed to return on Monday, November 23.
