Officers were alerted to an address in Cannon Street just before 4pm on Monday.

A man said he received threats from two men who pushed their way into his home.

Officers attended and searched the area before detaining two suspects in the area. Around an hour later, while police were conducting inquiries, a male was seen entering the garden of the victim’s property. Officers re-attended and detained a 16-year-old boy.

The two men, both aged 23, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife/bladed article in a public place and were then further arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

The teenage boy was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of a class A drug and obstructing a police officer.

All three were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning and have been released on police bail to July 2.
